Dainty Georgian foiled Diamond Paste earrings in silver with 18k gold French wires closed back black dot cut glass antique sur paillon

Lovely dainty Georgian paste earrings crafted in silver with 18k yellow gold French wires. The pastes show some wear on the loupe but they are very clear and bright with perfectly preserved foil underneath. “Diamond paste” is not real diamond but a man made faceted leaded glass, it is the first simulated diamond! The black dot is visible and clear on the 4 pastes. The back of the dangling element is actually 9ct yellow gold but it’s been somewhat covered by silver solder from the top of the wire curve: 22mm the paste element with the jump ring measures 11x4.5x5 mm Thanks for reading!
