This wonderful mourning band in 22 carat gold with black and white enamel was made by master jeweler William Hopkins in London in 1798.
It honores the life and death of a gentleman named John Goddard who passed on July 26th 1798 at the age of 62.
It is a very fine exemple of the highly collectible Georgian mourning bands and shows little defects but a couple white enamel loss.
The interior diameter is 19.5mm
The band is 9mm wide and 0.7mm thick
It is a size US10, UK T1/2 and FR61
It cannot be resized
