Stunning pair of Georgian earrings crafted in silver with rock crystal stones laid atop foil. Secured in place with the traditional cut-down setting of the time, they are composed of 2 free moving elements: first,a square rock crystal measuring, together with its setting, 7x7x6mm (the stone itself is 5x5mm) The second element is pear shape, traditional of elements found in Portuguese girandole pendants and earrings. It measures 11x5.5x5mm and features 2 rock crystal stones, both laid over foil and with black dot, secured in place with the same cut-down setting. The rock crystal stones are all intact as well as the pieces of foil underneath, exceptionally clear and brilliant. With the original antique patina on the silver, the contrast is striking ! The 18k yellow gold french wire adds another dimension giving justice to the regal character of these antique pieces.
