Stunning Georgian paste solitaire ring crafted in silver with a 15k rosy gold band. The antique paste is a cushion cut and lays upon foil. It has a black dot and is set with the cut-down/ crimped manner, it originally was part of a cufflink button set. The term “diamond paste” refers to man-made clear leaded glass faceted stone that resembles diamond. It is the first diamond simulation and was in fact also worn by royalty The paste has some scuffs and abrasions but remains really bright and clear, the foil underneath shows some oxydation as expected and the black dot further enhance the sense if depth of the stone.
