Rare Half Eternity Jarretière Georgian paste ring black dot foiled-back 18k rosy gold band French Diamond pastes size US 8.5 UK Q FR 57/58

Antique half eternity or Jarretière diamond paste band crafted in silver 800 and 18k rosy gold. It was fabricated in France, it bares de purity mark of an open-beak rooster facing left, it guaranties 18k gold or more and was used between June 19th 1798 and August 1809. Diamond paste is a leaded glass faceted stone made to emulate diamond, the foil underneath brings sparkle and the painted black dot accentuate the depth of the stone. There are 7 gradual stones ranging from 3.5 to 5mm diameter with their bezels, with a height of 3.5mm. The classic Georgian cut-down or crimped setting is in silver (800) bares a lovely patina creating a striking effect next to the rosy 18k gold band. The band measures 1.7mm and is 0.5mm thin. The back of the bezels have a lovely gold wash, another tell sign of Georgian jewelry. The 7 pastes are clear and intact, no crack and light grazing.
